Our weekend was pretty good. Saturday we slept in a bit, then a baked some giant fail cupcakes (seriously, I refused to bring them to the party, they were such a fail) and then we headed out. We got a lot of discounted shopping done, including paint for the nursery, so I'll be able to get going on that this week.
After dinner we headed over to Tim and Shannon's for the night and that was a blast. We didn't get there until 11, so pretty well everyone was already well on their way, but Derek managed to catch up.
I wasn't alone in my pregnancy non-drinking either, Shannon told the rest of the group that she's KU! We've known since Christmas. They've had an U/S already and as far as the tech could tell there's only one in there, which is a relief for them.
Sunday was a lazy day. We went out for breakfast and then came home. I took a nap and then threw something together for dinner. It was snowing pretty intently so I didn't even go out to get groceries. Lazy raynes.
Tonight, grocery shopping, some exercise and wall prep in the nursery!
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Happy Monday!
That is such fantastic news about Shannon and Tim!
My weekend went pretty well. Work was surprisingly easy and I got no pages Friday night. I did have to make a surprise stop off at the other hospital in the city to pick up an emergency med for a very sick patient after my shift but I was home by 9pm.
Saturday DH and FIL put together the crib, changing table, glider and ottomon. We've only put the crib in the room so far but I'm excited for everything coming together. I'm not quite sure where I want to situate everything
Today I'm going to go to the gym and try to get a good run in and then I need to go shopping for some new shirts for the gym. I felt like crap at the gym yesterday because I've been wearing my old shirts to the gym and there is only so much stretch in them. I look very obviously pregnant but I just felt fat which made me sad. I think I was extra bloated yesterday but need some new shirts that feel more comfortable.
This afternoon the fitness store is coming to drop off and set up my treadmill!!! I'm so excited and can't wait to try it out tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to keep up the running for a while more so that it doesn't sit lonely in the workout room until around the beginning of June.
Morning everyone. The weekend here was pretty good. Saturday, we did some crib shopping. I'm still feeling fairly overwhelmed by all the baby stuff, but we're making some progress. Saturday evening, a good friend came over for dinner. We made turkey tacos - yum. Sunday was a super lazy day, but I did make it to a lululemon sample sale with a friend. I bought a pair of leisure pants that I'm hoping will make it through the spring. Other than that, I napped and did laundry. Today I'm working from home so that Casey can go to the vet to have his wound checked. Some of his stitches came loose again, so I'm not really looking forward to the visit.
Hope everyone has a good day!
Congrats to Tim and Shannon!
This weekend was nicce. DH worked all weekend. The boys and I went shopping on saturday then spent the afternoon with my grandparents. My grandfather is doing great he is home with a cathtear that he is not happy about, but if thats the worst thing o well. He will go back on Friday and we wil find out how succesful the surgery was.
Sunday I took the boys to the park and cooked a yummy dinner. Then watched the pro bowl. I did make the mistake of going to bed with a wet head last night because I was to lazy to blow dry it, and paying for it today. My throat is scratchy and my nose is running like crazy.
This afternoon I have a dentist appt. I am terrified of the dentist. I won't even say how long it has been since I have been to see a dentist its really sad. I am praying I don't have a panic attack or puke all over the poor man.
Morning ladies!
Congrats to Tim and Shannon! What GREAT news!
My weekend was good. We went to a friends house Saturday night and let the boys stay up past their bedtime. Of course they were up at usual time on Sunday which stunk, but oh well. Otherwise it was a lazy weekend, (I did buy myself some new shoes Saturday), filled with cleaning and naps.
I am waiting for DH to call to hear how the boys 18 month appt went. I kind of feel bad as he took them alone. (I usually do it, but since he was off lastnight it made sense for him to take them, then me miss work). I am anxious to hear what the doc has to say about Christian's growth, and Zach not talking to much.
Anyhow back to the grind today, have a great day ladies.
And no updates from MO yet.
Good morning, ladies.
Yesterday was almost perfect - a long hike with friends, a few beers, grilled some hamburgers, took a nap, watched a miniseries.
I made it to spin at 5:15 this morning, and I'm ready to tackle the week.
Have a great day, everyone!
Ooh, that is exciting news for Shannon and Tim!
I've got a planning day at school today, which means that I'm up to my ears in report cards and marking math tests. It's going to be a long couple of nights, let me tell you.
Phil's birthday is tomorrow and I STILL don't have a present for him. The only thing I know he wants is an iPad, but that's a little out of my price range... I can't decide if I should get the cheapest one, and just dig into the savings (I'd saved up more than expected last month) to cover the cost or what... BAH.

We had a good weekend. Friday night I met up with 3 different groups of friends. I had no intention of even doing anything after work, so it was a nice unexpected surprise. Saturday night we met up with some other friends and found out that one of them is pregnant. It wasn't a huge shock to any of us as she'd been acting strange the last few times we'd gotten together. In fact we made a bet on her due date 3 or 4 weeks ago, just anticipating the announcement. Kyle and I had guessed her due date within 3 days and in doing so won a night a drinks from the other friends who were in on it.
This week is back to the grind. There are several large projects going on at work so I should be fairly busy.
Good morning. I am home sick today. I have caught whatever this crap is again! I have an appointment with the doctor at 2:00. With everything that happened last year, plus all my appointments so far this year (this will be #4), my sick leave balance is going to be in the hole.
Saturday was great. We ran a bunch of errand and still had time to go to the firing range. I'm getting much better at it and I really like the new .22 that Jim got for me.
Sunday was the launch party for my little side business. The party was great, but I made too much food. The attendance at the physical party was low (thank goodness for my in-laws or really would have been bad), but I got two really good on-line orders and gave out quite a few catalogs after church, so maybe a few more will trickle in before I close this sale. I'm going to send a reminder out to those folks in a few minutes to let them know that it needs to be in by X:XX time.

Hi ladies! I Had a pretty laid back weekend, we mostly were cleaning up the apartment since my mom is coming to visit on Thursday and I wanted the place to look its best for her arrival. Then last night we found out one of our closest friends from London was in town for work, but just for a quick visit, so we ended up heading to his hotel at about 10:30 last night and spending a couple of hours in the hotel bar catching up. It was so nice and made me miss London so much!
Nothing big on today, just a chill week until my mom gets here and then it's go go go for her whole visit.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
