Re: B-More Nesties Cookbook Shout-Out!
Love it!
I still think the Baltimore Nestie version is the best. DH's cousin makes it with a rotisserie chicken and we are not a fan at all. Also not a fan of using canned chicken either. It doesn't taste right at all!

That's awesome. I never thought about putting the boiled chicken in the mixer. I'll have to try that next time.
I cook the chicken in the crockpot with water and then pull it out and use a pastry shredder to shred it, takes literally 3 minutes to shred!
I also make it with ranch and not blue cheese bc h hates BC. But still, it's so awesome.
Yay!! Love theshout out!! I use our cookbook all the time!! I actually have a few recipes I need to add to it.
I also cook chicken in the crockpot (i use chicken breasts and cook them on high for 3 hours) but I don't put any water in there, just let them cook in their own juices. I shred them immediately with two forks and it works SO well. Like becky said, 3 minutes to shred! Or less.
Crockpot or just boil...it is easy to shred. I never use cheddar cheese, I use ranch dressing and blue cheese crumbles, so there's another adaptation
