I made this quilt for my aunt for Christmas, I waited until after Christmas to make it though because she is coming into town today so she gets her present a month late ![]()
I like how it turned out, but I was a bit bummed because the greens were the exact same color in the store and in my craft room but when I took it outside in the natural light they are clearly different! I guess I learned a lesson to take my fabrics by the window and look at them before I buy!
I skipped the batting on this one and backed it with JoAnns ultra cuddle fabric instead. I thought it was going to be a nightmare to quilt but it was actually really easy and made for a nice lightweight and super snuggly quilt/blanket hybrid!

Ditto! the colors are wonderful!

Thanks! I like how they look in the quilt, I was just bummed when I first took it outside and saw they were different!
Stand up for something you believe in.
Pish...you are being too critical and picky (hehehe, that would be the pot calling the kettle black since I am the same way about my stuff).
Honestly, it looks great and I love the colors!!!

I love it...and love the color combo.
The next time Michaels or JoAnns has Ott lights on sale, get the little battery operated light. It's about the size of a compact, but thicker, and is really great for color matching.
I've been carrying mine around in my purse, and yesterday I pulled it out to show a client and her mom how much sparkle there was on the adornments we are putting on the tutu we are making her, to give her a better idea of how it would look onstage. The little bit of natural light and overhead light in the room were just not doing it justice.

ooooo I love it. I want to go and do some crafting but DS is having a funny day and if I move from in front of his bouncy chair where he is napping he'll have another meltdown... ugh. But the giggling when he's happy makes up for his meltdowns
And...on an unrelated note, I think I read on the June 2012 board that you work part time as an OT in a hospital? I was going to comment on that thread, but didn't think you'd see it. Well, if I read correctly, it seems we have many parallels....first baby boys close in age, second babies due at about the same time, we both quilt, and I work part time as an SLP for a hospital.
That is simply beautiful!
