T&P's if you wouldn't mind
My weekend pretty much sucked and I'm seeking a do over.
My stepdad went into the emergency room on Saturday and ended up being admitted into the ICU. They did a CAT scan on him and found a very small (just a little over 1 centimeter) bleed on his brain that was caused by stroke that was induced by a very high spike in his blood pressure. He's doing well and is in high spirits. More scans show no further bleeding but he's been in the ICU for over 48 hours now for monitoring of his blood pressure and the doctors trying to find a new right dosage on his blood pressure meds.
My mom is kind of a mess and my step-siblings are mad at me. My stepdad said not to call anyone because he didn't want anyone up at the hospital; so, I waited to call until yesterday afternoon when we knew there was no further bleeding, etc... called them and sure enough they ran right up to the hospital despite being told he didn't want visitors and then got mad at me for not calling sooner because it's their dad. This about killed me since he's been in my life on an almost daily basis since I was three and they barely talk to him once a month. Sorry I will stop that rant now since I know those things were mostly said out frustration and fear.
We're hoping that he will be discharged today. Any extra thoughts or prayers or well wishes that you have for him would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance ladies.
