Small budget: small success (detergent)
I ran out of detergent and was at Costco about to pick up the $24 case of Tide, but I decided against that sized ding in my wallet.
I was later at the Dollar Tree and remembered I needed detergent so I ventured to try "Laundry Detergent Oxygen" for a buck
Can I tell you I love it! It worked just as well and the smell is perfect (clean and fresh and not too strong)
64 loads for a dollar - not bad.
Re: Small budget: small success (detergent)
That's what I use! I fill the washer with water, sprinkle in some baking soda, add some white vinegar and tada! Clean clothes! (And you can't smell the vinegar on your clothes once they're dry- PLUS it keeps your wash machine clean!)
But also, I love dollar stores! Some of the stuff is a rip off, but when they get smaller sizes of regular name-brand stuff, its such a great deal!
