Las Vegas in May

I have been many many times in the past, but not for the last 7 years. I know lots has changed. I am planning a girls weekend sometime in May and was wondering what hotel everyone loves and why. I know, I know, thats a lot to ask. LOL. I was looking at reviews but I am a bit overwhelmed. TIA

Re: Las Vegas in May

  • this question was recently asked and i believe the majority recommended the cosmopolitan.  i stayed at the cosmopolitan this past december and had a great time.

  • I also was just asking, and the Venetian and Palazzo both seemed popular.
  • We just stayed at the Venetian in October and I was completely underwhelmed with the rooms for the price we paid. Ours was pretty run down and a bit dirty.

The only other place I've stayed in Vegas is THEhotel, and I loved it.  It's not a great position on the strip, but it has great restaurants and it's a lot less crowded.  For me, that was worth the less-than-great position.  It's a quick cab ride or you can take the tram down the strip.

  • ARIA. Great location, beautiful rooms, good restaurants, attached to the CityCenter.

  • Cosmo or Palazzo.  Also a big fan of the Augustus Tower in Caesars.  I have never stayed at Aria but hear very good things (besides weird strip entrance).

    What she said.

Aria is beautiful. City Center is our new favorite place in Vegas.

    This!

  • I agree with any of the City Center rec's...new, beautiful, great restaurants, clubs, shopping, perfect for a girls weekend! I would look in to Aria or Cosmopolitan and see if one of those meets your needs.

  • Last time I stayed at the Monte Carlo, which is right next to Aria.  The location was great and my room was nice (though nothing fancy).  I'd just suggest it if it ends up being cheaper than the Aria since they have a connecting (covered) walkway.

  • Palazzo - gorgeous decor, huge rooms that are actually suites, great pool area.

The Wynn and Encore - both are really nice, super snazzy, and the pools at Wynn are gorgeous.

  • I was just there in November.  I have been there several times staying everywhere from Monte Carlo to Stratosphere.  In nov we stayed at the Paris.  I def recommend it.  The Paris was in the middle of the strip (costing less in tax fare) and the room wasn't that much.  Not a fan of their buffet.  Loved Monte Carlo pub.  THe Paris does have a smaller pool but ask for a strip view.  Absoultely beautiful looking at the Bellagio fountains.  Enjoy your trip!  Viva Las VEgas.
