All I can say is I'm guessing the 12 pounder "paved the way" for the 14 pounder. Then again, my sister went from a relatively pain-free 6-something pounder to an 8 pounder and was calling on Jesus and all that was holy to make it stop. and she had an Epi

I was thinking the same thing. That is a big baby. As painful as it must have been, she may have been better off going natural because she could feel it more when pushing. IDK?
