Welcome to Virginia! Glad to hear you and the pups made it safely.
How are you enjoying our crazy weather? Have you gotten your HHGs yet?

Re: Dnbeach
Thanks! It was quite an adventure on the drive here, but we made it. Another wife moved with me, so it was the 2 of us, her 4 year old son, and my 2 dogs. It was 6 long days of driving, but so glad that it's over and done with.
I am loving the weather, definitely a big improvement from the 30 degrees and snow we left in WA.
HHG has not made it yet unfortunately, and I'm getting pretty sick of sleeping on an air mattress. The truck is supposed to be here on Tuesday, which is my RDD. I don't even know why I ever hope it's going to get here before that, because it never seems to. I was able to get all the painting done that I wanted to do though and a few other things around the house that were easier without furniture, so that was my bright side to it.
How's things with you?
Pretty good. I'm totally looking forward to Wednesday- it's supposed to be in the 70's!
Have you done any exploring in the area yet?

Thanks ladies! And Kara I can't wait too!
I feel like I've been all over the area at different stores and things. I even ventured over to Portsmouth already to pick up H's car when it arrived. Also I've been to Lowe's at least 10 times in the little over a week I've been here. Yes, that's more the once a day, like today. But I'm really liking it here so far!
If memory serves me correctly, Home Depot in Hickory would be a lot closer. And the service is heckuva lot better than either of the home improvement stores on Battlefield. But that's just been my experience.
Glad you're getting familiar with the area - and hats off to you for venturing into Portsmouth already!!
