A co-worker of mine and I were talking about baby wearing (and he's the dad, LOL). Anyway - they have a little girl who is just a few weeks old but only have a Baby Bjorn. He is scared of the slings that wrap around and have instructions and such (I don't recall the name right off).
Aren't their simpler ones that they could just sew themselves? I thought one or two (or maybe several?) of you DIY'ed your own?
Re: DIY Baby Sling?
I have never DIY'ed a wrap, but I can say that there are a lot of easy options out there for them.
1. ERGOs and other Soft Structured Carriers are super easy and great for people who feel intimidated by wraps and slings.
2. I'm sure your co-worker is talking about the Moby. There is a slight learning curve with the Moby, but it's super easy and super safe once you get the hang of it. I know people DIY moby type (stretchy wrap) carriers aall of the time.
