Dog tags hanging on the rearview mirror... blows my mind!!
Re: for realz?
Welcome.
I actually put my SSN on my license plate so people wouldn't have to squint through the windshield.
I opted to go with a photocopy of my dependent ID taped right next to my registration sticker.
Seriously though, 2 of my closest military friends are both smart people, and 1 hangs their dog tags from their rear view mirror and the other keeps one on their keychain.
Photo bomb, yeah!
I have many leatherbound books and my apartment smells of rich mohagany.
This just made my day! It seems as if I am in a minority around here. I went out to dinner with a group of random friends. I do not know them all through the military, but they do all happen to be dependents.
Out of 10 people I was the only one not wearing dog tags around my neck or on my keychain. One wife actually even commented. I don't remember what she said exactly but it was along the lines of how I'm not supportive or proud if I don't wear them and how DH isn't something if he didn't give me a set to wear everyday.
I can't speak for all their cars, but I do know the one that drove me had her hubby's hanging from the rearview mirror AND on her key chain.
That must've been a baddass restaurant for women to be concerned about having their bodies identified!
