Video/Photo Storage

Where do you store your stuff?  I have a shutterfly (love love love) and a photo bucket account.  My shutterfly wont hold my videos and some times photo bucket wont load.  Any ideas?

Re: Video/Photo Storage

  • For Christmas, DH bought me a portable external hard drive.  I put my photos on that, and then he stores that at work.  Since his office uses fingerprints to get into, they're safe there.  I also burn the pics and vids onto DVD's, and upload them to picasa.  It is my worst fear that all their pics would be lost!

  • I download everything monthly to an external hard drive, cd or sd card. Then I keep them in our safe.  I just have a fear of pics being lost on the internet and never seeing them again!

this is what I do too. While I don't have a safe myself, my dad has a burly gun safe that we keep all our important documents in. Like the Deed to our house, birth/marriage cert. SS cards.

If you don't want a safe, what about a lock box at the bank?

Same here - one of those fire safe boxes is what we use. I also have all of my picture negatives (from back in the day) in it along with my property abstract, car titles, a few fragile keepsakes from my grandmother, etc. I need a bigger box! Smile
