Charities that will take appliances?
We're trying to get rid of the stove and dishwasher in our new house. I filled out an online form for Salvation Army about two weeks ago and have still heard nothing. Does anyone know of any other charities that will take large appliances? TIA!
Re: Charities that will take appliances?
Habitat for Humnity may take them depending on their current stock. There is a ReStore on the south side of Baltimore, where we usually donate our "home improvement" items that we've replaced. I'm not sure if they do pickup though. http://www.chesapeakerestore.org/donate/guidelines.php
I was going to suggest H4H as well.
Do you know how old the appliances are? They won't take old ones and they need to be clean and they love it when you have the manual, etc. We replaced the fridge that came w/ our house that was only 2 or 3 years old and they came and picked it up. They also took the stainless steel sink that was pretty old that got replaced when we got new counters.
Thanks for the suggestions! We actually do still have the manuals and the appliances were purchased in 2007 when the house last sold. I will try H4H.
A second chance in Baltimore, also takes aappliances. I don't think they do pick up either though.
