B&M Tuesday

I know we did a Monday one, but it is Tuesday now and I need a B&M :)

So I think the last I told you gals, Mags got sent home with a stomach bug Thursday. Well Friday she was still not herself and started running a temp. So we figured we would bring her to the doctors. We did and Friday night her doctor said she had a double ear infection. (Please note that on Thursday, the day before, she had just finished antibiotics for her last ear infection). Anywho - they give us a stronger antibiotics and send us on our merry way.

Saturday and Sunday, she is doing ok, slowly getting better. Matt and I notice separately that her lips have blue in them at random times. We keep an eye on it, not too concerned. Then yesterday her lips got really blue, as did her hands. I wasn't pleased with it so I called the doctor (again - I sound neurotic here). They want to see her and give us the last appt of the night at 915 last night. After her nap she started with a fever again, which is getting super frustrating.

We go to the doctors last night. They look in her ears - no better and still look pretty bad. So they decide she needs the antibiotic shots (she had them in December as well). Then they see her oxygen is a little low and listen to he lungs. They said she has a nasty respitory infection. So we get a nebulizer treatment, them do the shots (they are awfully painful, Maggie cries for 30 min after them), then they send us home with a nebulizer to do treatments every 4 hours. - by this time it is 1030.

My overall B&M is that I am exhausted from being up most of the night, I am at work, and I just want my baby to be healthy. Grrrr. (Sorry that got way too long, I just needed to get it all out!)

  • Poor Maggie!  It's no fun being sick all the time.  Are they going to do the tubes in her ears now?

I hope she feels better soon and you guys can get a break.

We have it scheduled for Feb 16. Hopefully she can stay/get healthy by then so they can do it still.

  • Poor Mags and mommy!

Parker had pneumonia a couple of weeks ago along with a double ear infection.  It sucks.  The breathing treatments are horrible.  Parker hates them.

Hopefully she will get better soon!
