Once Upon a Time - the Stranger

A friend of mine checked out some websites that are talking about this show and talking about theories, etc.

One theory about the Stranger is that he's Henry from the future.  I have no idea the reasoning behind this theory, but thought I'd share it!

  • Hmmm could be, but I was thinking since he is a writer, he could actually be one of the Brothers Grimm.

  • I think both ideas are intriguing!  I kind of hope he isn't the adult version of Henry because wasn't he a little flirty with Emma?  Haha.

  • It's a good thought, but I agree, I doubt he's Henry from the future.  Although I didn't think he was flirty with Emma.  Maybe just mysterious, and if he understands what is going on with Storybrooke he would have to be.  I can't jump on that bandwagon yet.

  • I was thinking he was the writer too.  The grown-up Henry idea is interesting though.  I didn't really think he was flirty with Emma, but I guess he did offer to "buy her a drink".

The whole concept of the show is really fun and entertaining, and well done.  I thought it would be hoaky.  AND Gin Goodwin looks fab with the pixie cut, perfect for the part!

  • That is an interesting idea but I doubt the stranger is future Henry.  I also don't think he was flirty with Emma... just mysterious.

  • I read that The Stranger will have some sort of romance with Emma, so I'm hoping it's NOT Henry lol! I like the idea of him being the author of the book and perhaps being able to change the "ending" in some way.

  • There really isn't anything part of the show that indicates time travel would get mixed in with the fairy tales, such that a grown up Henry would come back to Storybrook.  I think the Stranger being a Grimm brother / Grimm descendant seems much more plausible, and that he's there to write Emma's story and Henry's story.

Maybe not time travel, but then again the teacher/Ginnifer Goodwin (blanking on the character name...) is the same age-ish in Storybrook as her supposed fairytale daughter, Emma Swan character so... Maybe there's not a strict timeline as how the fairtytale characters playout in the real world scenario.

That's what I was thinking.  That would be a little creepy.

That's because the curse is that they don't age, but Emma was exempt from the curse, so she's been allowed to age for 28 years, when everyone else stayed the same age.

  • When the show first started I thought the Storybrooke Henry was Regina's dad. Prob because they had the same name. Then we started finding out more about the characters. So now it's known that Henry is Emma's son and Snow's grandson. So now I'm wondering if Fairytale Henry the Evil Queen's dad is going to show up in Storybrooke. Is he not going to because he died before the curse? Or could the stranger be Henry the Evil Queen's dad?

Doubt it since he died before the curse just like Snow's dad.

Ditto. The Queen killed her father because she needed the heart of something she loved to cast the curse. He will not show up.
