Documentary about circumcision
Re: Documentary about circumcision
I am sending Ed this link...
I left the decision up to him to choose for Evan and he decided NOT to get him snipped. I worry that it may cause complications someday. I really have never heard of anyone not getting snipped before....it always seemed like the norm. Leave it to my husband to be a "free thinker". He said if Evan wants it done he can get it done when he's grown up. Yeah like any man is going to want to get part of his penis cut off.
Mommy to Stephanie Lena - 2.13.07 and Evan Ralph - 9.23.10
Angel Baby (m/c at 9 weeks) - 1.2.09
Christmas Card Picture - 2011
(aka: the only picture I could get of them together that was not blurry and had them both sitting still!)

sure they would. people get cosmetic surgery all the time, none of it is pain-free. if it bothers him enough, he'll get it done. just like women get boob jobs if they're bothered by their chest size. I've seen you post quite a few times that you think your DH made the wrong choice since your son was born... your son really will be just fine either way you cut it (or didn't cut it lol).
I have shared this before-- we didn't circ. Neither of us believe it's necessary and think that the foreskin has a purpose. Women have a hood on their clitoris to protect it-- that's what the foreskin does for the glans.
There honestly isn't a medical reason to circ. They use HIV studies as a reason, but honestly, circ'ed men get HIV and STD's, too. Condoms are the safest bet at prevention for everyone.
That said, I don't agree with a ban on all circs. It's a religious practice for many, it's been done for centuries, and I don't think it can be compared to a clitorectomy- or what we know to be female circumcision. Next thing they'll do is ban juice for all children. ; )
This. You said it so well Colleeen.
I agree.
