Do you have to buy the same type of item as the one you turn in? For example, if I turn in a used pack n play, can I use the discount towards a high chair or car seat?

you don't have to buy the same type of item but I'm pretty sure you have to use the certificate the same day as the trade in.

Does anyone know if this includes items that have been damaged by our own negligence or, for instance, an heavily stained item? (ie, poor storange of swing and bouncer, etc). I've read the facts but it doesn't really answer things clearly.

I have seen things in past traded in and they look like what your saying. So I don't think you'll have a problem.

back in September when they did this, we picked up a highchair off the side of the road (fyi we're not normally pickers lol). This thing was skeevy. They took it. So based on my experience they will take anything.
