I finally heard back from the orange folk and can now post this (neon) picture:
I kinda like the scalloped edging, but I wish it had more shaping. I do like the drape of the yarn, though. This one's available on Kit One, Crochet Too's website as "Monhegan Tee."
Second test knit:

I just finished this one this weekend--so pretty! It fits pretty closely, but not tight. Love it. This pattern's not available yet. It's coming out in Brooklyn Tweed's next publication.
And a hat I made with some leftovers from FIL's "cardinal red" scarf:
This one's Knitty's Brambles Beret. It looks complicated, but it knit up really fast. I would knit this one again.
Maybe now I'll get my butt back in gear and get back into crafting for real again...
Re: Finally some PIPs! Two test knits and another hat
Stand up for something you believe in.
ITA on the sweater. Love the hat, and I have one of his patterns in a book I got for Christmas. Cute beret!
I just picked up a freelancing gig, so knitting is on the back burner again...

I responded to your Brooklyn Tweed post before seeing this one. No wonder they were impressed, I love that hat and it looks like it should have taken forever!
I agree that the orange tee needs more shaping at the waist. Will you wear it, or frog it and use the yarn on something else?
Thanks!
I didn't get to keep the orange sweater ("get to"). They wanted it for a trade show to showcase their new pattern release. Good riddance, I say.
