Gift ideas for a 30th birthday?
I am invited to a coworker's 30th birthday the 11th. I don't really know what to get her. I thought about a $30 gift card to the Aveda spa here in town but when I looked at the services, looks like the giftcard should be more around $50! lol
Other than that, I don't know what to get her.
Onward and upward moment : except for this weekend, all my weekends in February are booked with fun stuff! Yay! It's been weeks, if not months, that I've done something on weekends. I am usually working and alone at home.
Re: Gift ideas for a 30th birthday?
I just turned 30 and I got some cute stuff.
Maybe a Voluspa candle. Those are great and around $30.
Or a cute personalized wine glass from etsy.com
When I turned 30, one of my friends gave me a big bottle of booze in a wine bag that read "Here's to the dirty 30". It was definately appreciated!
You could do something fun with the 30s....30 lottery tickets? Oh, for a co-worker, who complained that 30 was really old, we got a medication planner and filled it with 30 candies in the slots!
Probably hard to give advice on gift ideas without knowing much about the recipient. I try to buy gifts for people that are items (or sometimes even experiences) that they normally wouldn't buy for themselves. Ex: My MIL never spends money on herself, so I saw it fit to buy some things such as makeup items, pampering things, a new purse, etc. Or, for my Mom who can't justify spending money on a perfume she *loves*, I'd buy the perfume for her.
Does this recipient like to read? Shop? Enjoy fashion?
