Anyone ever stayed at an AI on Aruba?
Very broad question, I know. Friends just got back from a 5 star resort in Mexico, and I was raving to DH. He said he'd rather go to Aruba, and I was like, "Okay...."
Any recommendations?

We stayed at the Occidental Grand in Aruba (AI) and had a great experience. I know most people will say not to do AI, but it worked for us. We aren't huge "foodies" though (I don't even eat meat). In terms of the hotel itself (i.e. service, rooms, amenities, etc.), we had a great experience!
