funny story
so one night my husband and i went to bed and soon he was asleep and snoring. i have insomnia so i was awake for a long time and after about an hr he stopped snorring and turned over and started feeling me up. he made out with me then we had sex and went back to sleep. the next morning he asked me who started the whole thing. he just remembered waking up and realizing i was kissing him. ive heard of sleep walking and sleep talking...but sleep sex...

Yes! Sleep sex does happen and can be considered as a condition. One of my gf's bf who basically only wants sex during the time when he is sleeping. He has dealt with other sleep disorders. So, I would watch to see if it happens regularly then I would suggest seeing a professional.
This has happened to me once. But we know who initiated it and I think I was half sleep and just rolled over on my back. Not romantic at all but two minutes into it we were fully awake.
Is this a regular occurrence?
