Good morning/afternoon!!!
Oh wow, I hardly ever get to do the good morning post! I hope everyone's having a good day. Anything fun on the agenda??
I'm at work and not particularly in the mood for it. Doing absolutely nothing tonight which will be fantastic. I'm going to sign the lease for our new flat tomorrow night and I'm strangely excited about that.
QODT: What are your travel plans for 2012?

Re: Good morning/afternoon!!!
Good evening! It was a productive day around here. I did a thirty minute workout, a load or laundry, started dinner, and talked to my mother before noon. No mean feat when I woke up about 9:20. After noon, I played far too much mahjong solitaire, organized my February household budget, planned menus for the rest of the week, and paid some bills. Now, I am relaxing with reruns of Mythbusters when that's over, I am taking my book and an icy pole to the book nook couch and disappearing into the world of Goldy Schulz until bedtime.
QOTD: In two weeks, we're taking a long weekend in Ballarat for a wedding. In March we're doing a 4-day weekend to visit a friend in Canberra, and I am going home for my Dad's retirement party in December. I am hoping to spend Christmas and New Year's back in NOLA before a family reunion cruise in January 2013. I am not planning anything else though. My grandfather was just diagnosed with lung cancer and the doctors have said he is not a candidate for either radiation or surgery and the chemotherapy has not been too successful in this form of cancer. I do not want to head home for that reason, but I am preparing myself that I may need to.
Forgot to answer!
I'm going to Prague for a long weekend with a girlfriend at the end of February. DH and I have a week booked in March for Budapest/Bratislava and we have 10 days booked in Portugal in June for a friend's wedding plus extra holiday time. I'm really hoping that I won't be able to travel at the end of the year so I'm not planning past that yet! DH just applied for a conference in Brazil in September so that's a possibility and we need to fit in a trip home at some point.
If Brazil doesn't work out, we're considering Russia for our big trip this year which would be really exciting.

You didn't give us a good evening option.
Today was pretty uneventful for me. I swam 2 k this morning, got a ton of mundane things like laundry done, and had a waxing appointment.
QOTD-- For once everything's pretty set in stone except for long weekends. In March we're going to New Zealand and then some friends are coming and we're going to Bali with them. I have a friend coming to visit in June and the two of us are going up to Phnom Penh and Laos for a couple weeks. In July we have to go to the Czech Republic for a wedding and we have another wedding in Austria in August. We'll either do home leave in May or December.
I have a birthday party to go to today so it's my first time being social in real life since Christmas.
QOTD: We cancelled all of our travel plans except for a wedding in the states at the end of the year.
Morning!
We going to pick up MIL in about 30 minutes - she is staying at SILs (Thank God) which is a 5 min walk away from us, until APRIL!!!
Anyways, I'll just have to try to keep my cool and not take her comments personally - she loves to make little remarks while H is not around about my cooking, house my house is organised, how I dress and how I raise M. Pretty much everything. She thinks she is being helpful - I truly believe that (SIL and I discussed this last week - she does the same to her, but replace raising M with still being single), but it is so freaking annoying!
Wow! I needed a rant - sorry!
QOTD: No concrete plans yet. Vietnam, Northern Ireland and some destinations in France are up in the air.
Morning. I'm coming down with a cold which I'm not impressed with... N is starting with her new childminder today for a couple of hours settling in and dh is the one bringing her and I really want an update and haven't got one yet!! :-(
QOTD: Our "big" trip of the year could be to Wales in August... Really adventurous I know! We would take the ferry over and maybe rent a house - friends of ours live in London with their 5mth old dd and the plan is that we holiday together. I think it would be really, really stressful to go on a plane with dh and N - dh would be the issue... he is anticipating flying with a baby as STRESSFUL! Ha! we wouldn't be the first in the world to do it...
Other than that, we have a wedding in March to go to (two hrs from Dublin so overnight and without N) and my brother's wedding possibly in August which will involve 2 nights away but with N coming with us. I have a voucher for an overnight stay in a lovely Dublin hotel but I'm running out of time in which to use it!
azure - that would really drive me crazy. I wish you patience, ear plugs, and wine for the next few months.
QTOD: DH's paternity leave starts in 44 days (!!!!!), then we leave for the States for 5 months in mid-April. While we're there we'll take a small vacation with my parents - possibly to a lakeside cabin in MO owned by one of my cousins. We also want to take Amtrak out to visit my BFF and her DH in Seattle at some point while we're back.
Morning! I have strep throat, so I am home sick. Watching Everyone Love Raymond and Frasier.
QOTD:
We have a lot up in the air at the moment. We are hoping to go home at the end of February for about five days. My grandma is in hospices and her birthday is 1st March, it is her last one and were having a huge family party. She is very special to me and it is very important for me to be there. In April, we are taking a bike and barge tour across Holland during tulip season and spending a few days in Amsterdam.
In June, I go to turkey with my cousin who is studying aboard in Belgium. And DH and I may go to Spain.
In July, I'll visit my family in the US.
That's all we have planned to date. I hope we can do a few weekend trips too.
Good afternoon! Not too much going on here, dropped DH at the airport as he has a work meeting in Oman and will be back tonight - quick trip! About to head out to meet a friend who I haven't seen for awhile for lunch in a minute, then I'll probably come back and do some work on the computer.
QOTD: We'll be heading to Lebanon in July for a wedding, I will probably be in the US a bit more than I need to be due to friends' weddings that I am involved in. For my 30th birthday trip, I'm trying to decide between Croatia, Greece or a Spain/Portugal trip. And DH just messaged me that we need to go back to Oman for a weekend, so I guess I can add that to the list

Good afternoon! Looking forward to the end of the day so I can go home and relax. It's been a busy week of work and practicing/teaching Zumba every day after work!
QOTD:
February: Dubai
March: We might travel somewhere close, Oman perhaps?
May/June: Pittsburgh for my sister's wedding
July/August: Maybe Ireland? Somewhere away from the Doha heat!
October - Hopefully Santorini for our anniversary & my birthday
December - If all goes well, we'll be doing the Xmas cruise for the holiday markets!

You get a 30th birthday trip? I'm going to be 30 this year. I think I need to talk to DH about that idea... unfortunately he didn't get one when he turned 30 a few years ago, so it might be a hard sell ;-)
we went to Carcassonne for my 30th and Greece for DH's so yes, I think you get a 30th birthday trip :-)
Jupiter - I've been to all those places (obviously, not everywhere in them!) and I think it's a fantastic list! Where are you thinking in the countries?

Good afternoon!
Just getting a bit of cleaning done before I go up to Edinburgh tomorrow for my orthodontist appointment. I'm hoping this is the appointment where I get to meet my surgeons and start planning my treatment. Fingers crossed.
QOTD: We're hoping to go back to MI at least once this year. I'm shooting for probably October - I'd like to be home to take D trick or treating, and go to the Detroit zoo before it closes for the year.
Haha - well it's wrapped up into our "yearly" vacation but for DH's bday we went to India. Maybe you can sell a joint 30th birthday trip??

I'm not quite sure actually, still trying to narrow it down. I've never been to any of them, except Spain. We've done quite a bit of Asia recently so I wanted to head to Europe instead. I hear Croatia is gorgeous, Greece has been on my travel list for years and I have also wanted to go to Portugal for awhile. Any recs? What was your favorite?

Good morning!
They didn't have any towels at the gym this morning, so I had to use paper towels. Nothing much planned for today. I have work and then I'm skyping with BF. It's been a few days so I'm excited
.
QOTD: In May I'll go see BF in Edinburgh and while there we'll go for an all inclusive holiday for a few days, probably to Portugal. In September he's coming for 2 weeks because his cousin is getting married in Toronto. We'll go to the wedding, then head to Niagara Falls and then to do some shopping in Syracuse. At some point I will also be going to Halifax to see a friend.
It promises to be an extremely expensive year.
