Well, doesn't that figure!

For the past week and a half or so I've really felt like poo (upset stomach and some tenderness around my upper and lower right quadrant).  It was at its worst on Sunday afternoon.  Not painful such that I needed to go to the ER, but definitely something I should get checked out in the next few days.  So Monday I call my doctor and his first available appointment is Wednesday (today) at 9:45AM.  I take it, I've been going to him for years and he's pretty awesome.

Wouldn't you know yesterday and today I feel completely fine?  Confused  I'm still going anyway since it's too late to cancel now, but sheesh.  I really wanted to go see him when I had the symptoms.

  • Never fails!

I hate the look from the doctor when she swabs my throat as I'm saying, "I swear there were white bumps on it yesterday!"

  • Exactly!  I feel like he's going to pat me on the head and tell me it was just gas. Embarrassed

    Yes

Probably, but on the other hand, at least you'll have a record of having gone in with the same troubles if it was to happen again. It'll be useful long run.

LOL, maybe he'll give you a lollipop too.

  • I'm glad you're feeling better at least!

I haven't gone to a doctor for an illness in probably over 10 years.  I wait and see if it goes away, and it usually does....eventually.  :)

Me too. People call me stubborn, when in reality I just don't want to make an appointment around my schedule, sit in a crowded/infected waiting room, etc.

I rarely go for sickness either. Unless I know it's strep, or I have a freak incident like my eye being swollen shut, I'd rather just wait it out and feel crummy.

Annoying that you'll probably get that pat on the head, but yay for feeling better!
