Just got Table 21/VOLT reservations!!
Woohoo!! For Feb 29th! Just an FYI for people who are interested - they changed the reservation process this year. When we went the first time, in the middle of his Top Chef run, we called Oct 2009 and got a reservation for Aug 2010. They were booking over a year out after that. Now you call one month before for that day (like Minibar). They are also posting the cancellations they get on their fbook page, which is where DH read about this one today. So if you have a flexible-ish schedule and are interested in Table 21 check out their fbook page for updates.
I'm excited! We've been wanting to go back during a different season to have a completely different experience than the mid-August fruit and vegetable heaven we had before.

I'm not sure we'll ever make it up there. Frederick is quite a hike from Arlington so it would have to be an overnight trip which complicates things.

Awesome! We just went to VOLT for the first time last weekend. LOVE LOVE LOVE. We did the 7-course tasting menu (I did the vegetarian one, which was very well-done, intentional, and delicious. Most veg menus aren't this good.)
Get ready for "root vegetable heaven". I fell in love with something called salsify that I had never even heard of.
I'm looking forward to goign back in spring or summer for all the fresh fruits & veggies!
