Re: Accountability Tuesday
No change for me, but I did get a comment the other day that I thought I'd share. I've gotten plenty of "when are you due?" comments in the past but this one was... different.
This was from the guy at the publix seafood counter. We don't really know him, but he always recognizes us and strikes up a conversation. This weekend I saw him and he asked "how's your baby? you did have a baby, right?" lol. I guess in the past he thought I was pregnant (although never mentioned it, which I appreciate) but now I must look like I'm not pregnant anymore? It's a stretch, but I'm going to take it as a compliment

Seriously? WTF? I've seen pictures of you on FB pre-weight loss and in no way did you look pregnant. People are so stupid. I mean, yay for noticing that you lost weight but I still think he's an idiot. You do look amazing though so I guess focus on the good part!
I haven't gotten on the scale yet, my WI is Thursday. I'm hoping for a loss since I was up 0.8 last week thanks to AF.
I need to get better at keeping my eating on track during the weekends. I also need to get in a better workout habit. I do really well for a few days and then don't do anything for a week.
I have a 5K this Saturday. I didn't keep up with C25K so I'll be walking & running.
Well to be fair, I screen out the worst pictures
And I do carry all my extra weight in my stomach. The worst part isn't when someone says something about me being pregnant, it's after I've told them that I'm not and they stammer and try to explain why they thought I was. Seriously people, just apologize and then shut your mouth.
It used to really get me down, but I understand it just has to do with how I am built along with some people just having no sense. There's no denying I was overweight. If I was built differently, then random people would never come up and comment on my thighs. I've always wanted to respond to someone by saying "thank you for pointing out that I'm fat" but I've never had the nerve. lol. hopefully I'm getting close to not having it happen anymore.
Anywho... I totally agree with your last comment about focusing on the good and that is what I am doing. It makes life much more enjoyable

I carry most of my weight in my stomach so I can relate to the pregnant comments. I liked to repsond to the "when are you due" questions with "I think it's usually about 9 months after you get pg. I'll let you know when that happens.".
You have a really great attitude. It's admirable. People make me stabby.
I'm down 2 pounds for January - yay! Slow and steady seems to be going ok for me! I got a new pair of 10's last weekend and they fit perfectly. Just continuing to eat lots of fruit and veggies, lean protein, whole grains, and doing strength training DVDs 5x/week and lots of walks with vdub.
Oh... and lots of fro-yo.. but only with fruit, so it's healthy!
