I have a card to send my sister in Geneva. Usually I buy the 98 cent stamps, but I think prices went up? Can I put 3 "Forever" stamps on it, which would be $1.20 ish, and mail, or does it have to have the specific international set amount stamp from the post office?
Thanks! I emailed her but haven't heard back and want to drop it in the box before the mail man comes.

Re: postage question
I used the postage calculator on USPS.com, and it depends on how much the envelope weighs and what shape it is. Do you have a small scale you can use to weigh it?
Edited to add: I just weighed one of my wedding invitations to get an idea. It was under 1 oz, so unless you have something inside the card like money or a gift card (which you probably don't), then for a rectangular envelope it shows $1.05, and if it's a square envelope it's $1.25. I think you're fine to just use whatever number of stamps it takes to get to that amount.
I always used to write "Air Mail" on things going overseas when I was a kid, but I'm not sure if you actually have to do that, or if I just thought I was special for sending mail to somebody overseas:-)
It doesn't have to be the specific international stamps from the post office.
I've had stuff sent to me using multiple forever stamps. And my mother tends to just stock up on stamps to cover whatever the weird leftover amount was after you put on two regular stamps.
FYI - It looks like the basic international rate has gone up to $1.05, so even if you used the 98? stamp, you'd still have to stick on some extra.
