Do you have any KA attachments for your mixer?
If so, have you used the pasta maker? It appears to be relatively simple to use but I do have a question...after you make the pasta, can you use it right away (meaning, start boiling it) or does it have to dry out for awhile? I want to make fresh pasta tonight and the directions aren't very clear on this.
Re: Do you have any KA attachments for your mixer?
I don't have the pasta maker attachment but I have helped someone hand roll and cut fresh pasta before. We cooked it right away.
The only attachment I have for my KA is the ice cream maker, which is divine.
Thanks to both of you - very helpful.
Wendy, do you remember, was it easy to use? I am super nervous. Excited..but nervous.
We just did it by hand, so not with an attachment. Maybe read some how tos to avoid work between now and then?
I got a KA mixer for Christmas but I'm not using it til our house is built and it's about to kill me!!!! It's so pretty and I just want to set it on the counter and stare at it!
My grandpa always made homemade pasta (by hand) and he cooked it immediately.
Girl, I have had mine for FIVE YEARS and used it for the first time this weekend. We had guests over, I was making cookies, and wanted to look all sorts of fancy. Well, that backfired. I got sh!t everywhere. Thankfully, DH was able to save the day but not before cookie batter went everywhere.
Excessive amounts of wine may or may not have been involved in this incident.
