I have to keep saying this to myself today. I keep thinking it's Monday.
How is everyone else doing today? Any awesome plans?
I am at school re-writing (again) my resume and applying for jobs. I have a paper due, and a Shakespeare sonnet to perform tomorrow, oh and I have to start my portfolio for my undergraduate research project in Rhetoric. I have absolutely no idea on what I even want to research. Then I have a good 180 pages of novels to read for other classes.
I am also going to write a letter to NJ's Governor about his new plan for my school; how it isn't a wise move for our community. I doubt that he will listen to a non-voting non-resident like me, but I am willing to pull the Military Wife card out on this issue. At least I can wait until the weekend for this.
I kind of wish it was Monday so I would have the time to get these done.

Re: Wednesday, wednesday, wednesday...
It's Wednesday? I thought it was Tuesday...
Do you have to write the letter as part of homework? Frankly, I don't care about the merger with exception to the name. I want to keep the name Rutgers...it's such a brand name. Rowan isn't as recognizable...it was Glassboro State College until 1997.
I'm on a conference call right now because my employer is switching the 401K account from one management firm to another. It's boring...I'm working on blog stuff.
It's freaking beautiful outside today so I went on a walk. Now I need to get ready and run some errands.
Last night I got a cryptic email from H saying that they will be coming home earlier than originally anticipated and that he would send me more details this morning once they got the go-ahead to tell families. I got no such email and now I'm all anxious about when it will be. I need to know in advance since I have to pick him up!

I'm just wishing I was off from work today; this weather is too surreal and the its not going to last. :::sigh::: Trying to enjoy the calm before the storm in between projects at the moment. My desk is looking cleaner and more organized but still have to file more stuff. And create PDFs for my personal portfolio, etc. I **hate** creating a portfolio but I know I need to do it so that I can be better prepared should I actually ever get around to submitting my resume anywhere.
My sister just found out her DH has gotten new orders that will bring them back home and are super excited. I'm trying not to be too excited until they actually have paper work in hand and are actually in transit. I don't know if the USCG is known for switching up orders like I've heard other branches can and have done but it is because of those stories that I'm being a bit more cautious in my celebration.
And I confess that I was snooping around my registry adding some last minute little things that I feel would be great to have in the nursery (night light anyone?) and was floored to see that the video monitor that we registered for was purchased. For those that know me; a video monitor has been like the best invention EVER.
Dagnabbit!! Talk about a tease.
I never even thought about this for you!
The dog and I went for a walk this afternoon but he wasn't acting right so we cut it short and came home. I found a baby tooth on the floor today so maybe that's making him moody? I know that happens with kids, but is that even possible with dogs?
Tonight M and I are going to go to Costco because we need some junk. I wanted to go this afternoon but he threw a fit because he's been wanting to go too to check everything out (we're brand new members). If he comes home from work and says he doesn't want to go, I'll shank him. I didn't plan anything for dinner because I figured we would snack there and then pick something up for later.
1.) You just gave me a heart attack, for a second there, I thought I was missing a class. But my phone says it's wednesday, I have to trust it. LOL
2.) No, I don't have to write this for class, I realized that I made it sound like that in my OP. I want to write the letter. This merger, if Rowan merged with Rutgers, would be a non-issue. This is an amazing proposal for Rowan either way you spin it. (If they merged with us, it would be even better because they would also have the backing of Big Rutgers in NB) We will lose the connection with the main campus, we will also lose a ton of amazing teachers and faculty. It also has a lot to do with School identity, we are two different schools with two different cultures. It would set the community back in terms of community development in Camden as well. However, if this does happen, I hope that Rowan will implement their own community projects, like Rutgers has.
Sorry, I didn't mean for that to get so long... but I agree about the name thing. That is the biggest issue, I think, and everything else falls under that.
3.) Yay conference calls :-| I hope that it ends soon for you.
LoL - but it makes total sense, right?? My own mother didn't understand why I wanted a video monitor. ::::::palmface:::::::
No super awesome plans today. I will be baking cookies for a spouse's thing tomorrow, and then heading to a Weight Watchers meeting, where I know my weight is going to be up some crazy amount from my last weigh-in, because there was zero hope of eating healthy on my last business trip. (when you can't even read the individual letters being used on the menus, it's tough to order...) And because of that weigh-in, I'm going to be super-concious of my points at tomorrow's chocolate themed spouse's social.
Ah well...
DH and I will probably have pho for supper tonight. That's something to look forward to.
And, I'm planning on making some awesome honey-glazed chipotle chicken for supper tomorrow night.
K throws a fit if I go to Costco without him. The man will spend hours in there and we've been members for two years. Eat dinner at Costco! Their all beef hot dogs and pizza are amazing!
I'm taking advantage of my super-sick and very sleepy baby to get some much needed deep-cleaning done around my house. I'm hosting a baby shower on Saturday and if any one of those ladies had walked in my door this morning I would have been mortified.
I'm also pre-baking my appetizers for said baby shower.
I'm also waiting on the UPS man to deliver my shoes for the OG winter ball next weekend. I'm hoping to catch him before he rings the doorbell and wakes up the baby.
Tres exciting, I know.
