how often do you wash your windows?
I'm currently doing it and they are pretty gross (rain splashes from the sills & onto the windows). I'm fairly certain that they didn't get washed last year b/c of having a baby.
Make me feel better about my nasty windows & tell me you don't wash yours like 4 times/year!
Re: how often do you wash your windows?
i certainly don't! honestly, i don't remember the last time we washed our windows . . . maybe last spring? DH cleans the sills every once in awhile but yeah. no idea.
When they look nasty.
We have dogs though and their noses get on the bottom parts of windows on a daily basis - so I usually only wash those once a week or so, and the rest of the windows once a month or once every month (unless we loose power - then they get washed as soon as we get power back, because they're usually covered in soot from candles burning).
The outside? I just did the office outside, and I honestly can't remember when I did those last. But for the rest of the outsides of windows I try to do them every 3 months.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
um, never?
I even have the fancy tilt-in to make it easy ones... and just don't.
I guess I clean the French doors onto the deck maybe once a year bc of dog crap.
But, nope, not a window washer. Judge.
"What is a week-end?"
We don't. Isn't this what rain is for?

ditto
we have 87 million windows (for real, that's the actual number) and we have washed them exactly twice since we moved into this house 4.5 years ago.
we have the old-fashioned type of windows that, in addition to not keep in/out cool/hot air, also have the added advantage of having the wooden partition thingies that you can't remove. Inside and out. So washing one window inside and out is actually like washing 24 little windows. And they don't tilt in or out, so upstairs you have to hang out the window with your life hanging in the balance to wash the outside of the windows.
I HATE OUR WINDOWS. Can you tell? And in order to replace them all it would only cost us around $30K. Grrrrrrr :-(
This board reinforces how not normal I am regularly :-)
The inside of the windows get cleaned weekly and since we have the super handy dandy flip down windows- the outsides get cleaned monthly if not twice a month.
Also, windows get cleaned with newsprint so they are super duper sparkly.
I bow down to you! seriously.
We wash the insides several times a year, but the outside? Typically I aim for 2x (after spring & fall rains...the rain splashes up & then we have dirty water marks) but that hasn't happened recently, obviously
I've lived in our house for six years and have never washed our windows. I did replace them all a few years ago, does that count?
Actually, I do wipe down the sills when I notice they are looking really gross (maybe once a year), but I have never cleaned the panes.

Same. And our windows are super old. We have blinds over most of our windows (we twist them open everyday, but rarely pull them all the way up), so we rarely come face to face with the panes.
Same here.
Yup, this.
In my old place, they got washed exactly once. When I went to sell the place and my realtor paid for a window washer to come out and do it.
Maybe once? In the six years we've lived in our house.
This.
wow, i don't think i've ever cleaned the outsides of ours and we've lived here 6 years. i clean certain ones on the inside when they get really smudgy from animal noses, but that's not more than a couple times a year.
This exactly!
This reminds me of my mom who has been known to trade in her car to avoid buying new tires.

Ditto this. Not the fancy windows, just the now washing. Non-window washers unite!

you wash your windows?
our cleaning crew wipes down the panes and sills inside.
Yes...I don't have a cleaning crew....
Not to me! DH does all the cleaning!

Inside windows - once every few months for the ones that get kitty nose prints
Outside windows - um...are we supposed to wash those?
