**Brie

I've been sooo MIA lately, but I just saw your post below about pescatarian.  I'm pescatarian and have been for about 4 years.  Let me know how I can be of help or support :)

Re: **Brie

  • Thank you! So far I've been able to completely make the switch for 2 out the three meals in the day. To be fair, breakfast was super easy to get on track with. Lunch is easier than I thought, especially during the work week when I'm mostly bringing stuff from home and eating on my own. Dinner's been the only challenge, but Drew's totally supportive and willing to make some adjustments as well.

Was there anything that helped you with the initial transition? Any tips for staying on track?

  • My husband is still on full meat eater, so I've had to come up with meals that we both can eat for dinner.  I will make lasagna with half meat or if we have fajitas, it will either be shrimp or just veggie for me.  I will eat around meat - I'm not crazy about it not being cooked with my food.  If he wants steak and potatoes, I'll have just the side dishes.  I don't have any special recipies, I just work around most of it.

The hardest part is trying to eat at other's houses.

It wasn't too hard for me to transition because I didn't really like meat to begin with.  However, I still get cravings for a burger or ribs sometimes, but I can always pull myself back when I think about how it came to be on the plate.
