Gretta is a natural born gymnast. Ingrid... is not. I want them both to do a fun activity just for them, and I think I'm going to start Ingrid in dance when she is old enough. Obviously if she chooses gymnastics later, that is fine (G chose gymnastics on her own), I'd just like to prevent injuries while I still have my say in the matter. ![]()
I haven't looked into dance lessons yet, (other than just for kix which fell through). I think I'd like a little more "professional" experience anyway. I thought this would be a good place to start to compile a list of places to check out.
So, where does your LO go? Do you like it? Can you watch them practice? I hear at some places you can't and I'd like to. If you don't mind sharing, how much is it a month? And, how old do you have to be to start?
Thanks!
Re: Moms whose kids do dance?
We started at Betty Hill this year. Sophia absolutely loves it and so do I. We got to watch through the windows for the first half of the year and then after Christmas break the blinds were closed and we won't see anything more until the recital. Honestly, I had never heard of being able to watch your kids practice so it was a nice surprise for me. When I taught lessons we didn't let parents watch as it was just a distraction to the kids.
We are on an equal payment plan so we pay $47.70 per month, which covers the lessons, recital fee, and costume fees. They start at age 3.
