I know it's not Thursday, but I didn't want to clog up any of the daily threads.
My appointment is at 2 and as a good patient I got there 10 mins early to check in. Great, wonderful, right? Nope. Apparently the lady who was suppose to schedule it last time didn't! I had two options: Wait an hour or more to be "fit in" on the schedule or reschedule. Since with this new job I was worried about how it would look if I took 4 hours instead of 2 I choose to reschedule. Now as I am doing this I can't control myself and start crying. It's sad, I hate crying and even more in public, but hormone me couldn't help it.
Then this wonderful Ultrasound tech comes up and saves the day. The other lady put a "phantom" patient in my spot. They were actually trying to figure out who the patient was when all this was going on. Luckily, my crying actually paid off because they quickly took me back into the room and proceeded with the procedure.
The baby is measuring right where it should be. The tech gave me about 5 pictures of the baby and told us the heartbeat was at 168. I was overjoyed and DH (did I forget to mention he was there and trying to console me mostly so I would stop crying) had a grin from ear to ear. It was one of the best experiences so far. I'll see her again at the end of the month and another ultrasound in April. Overall it all worked out and I'm so honestly Thank you for the ultrasound tech. She was amazing.
