  • The only neighborhood that you mentioned that I can really comment on is Mt Washington.  I lived there in a rental for 2 years and loved it.  As long as you're in the areas of Mt Washington that are NOT close to Pimlico, it's generally safe and there are lots of families.  Also 2 small but nice dining/shopping areas, and close to the light rail for commuting, and Robert E Lee park for hiking and other recreation, I think that you can canoe/kayak.  It's in the city so the taxes are high if you want to buy- for that reason we decided to buy a few miles north in Baltimore Co.
