Re: Birth control recall
So, I saw this on FB and I checked. It actually is my pill, but not my current pill pack lot number. I just started it this past Sunday, but trash is already gone to find out if it was previous pill pack. Not cool, since I never get a period and I wouldn't know for a while.
There goes their effective percentages!
I was wondering...wouldn't you notice the color of the pills messed up if they filled the package wrong? Every time I've been on the pill the inactive week pills were a different color.
This is what I was thinking... I used to refer to the time of my period as "green pill week". If my 3-week pills were suddenly the green ones, I'd notice. My green pills were literally sugar pills too, so the texture was different.
The real issue is that the quality check people didn't notice the different colors - or the imbalance of the 3-week pills vs. the 1-week pills - that's their JOB!
This makes me love my IUD even more!
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
Eh, as I throw back a pill after a crazy day, there is a chance I wouldn't notice. If they were put in all jumbly I would but if they were all the same or or whatnot I doubt notice the difference. Creature of habit and I'm sure other women are too. Although, know I should notice what im taking, lol, Im not as aware sometimes when it's an everyday pill anymore. Mom brain wins again.
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing about the colors...the pills I've been on had always had a different color for the off week, but I guess there are plenty of pills that are hormonal all month.
I have a good friend with a baby from the pill recall last year. She looked into some sort of retribution, but was told (in NY anyway) that as long as the pregnancy and baby are healthy, there is nothing that you can do. Thankfully, her and her husband were in the position to welcome another child so soon, though they weren't planning on having a second for a least a couple more years.
