Oh heeeyyyyy
We are back from South Africa and incredibly jet lagged but no complaints! We had a FANTASTIC, amazing trip! It was all I could have imagined and more. It was not a relaxing vacation at all, we were GO GO GO everyday, but we really got to see everything I wanted of the area.
The safari was incredible- we stayed in these awesome little huts and ate some incredible food, and saw so much game- elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, antelope, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras and the highlight was when yours truly spotted the two,sleeping lions. They were breathtaking. We got within 10 feet of the giraffes and zebras and a little too close for comfort with the elephant- he ran out in front of us and then started charging us so we had to throw the jeep in reverse and hightail it out of there.
The Cape wine lands in Stellenbosch and Franschoekke were incredibly beautiful and we tasted some amazing wines. The beaches in South Africa were ridiculous as was the food. It was incredibly cheap to eat and drink there which was a plus as well. The cottage we stayed at had an amazing view and we had an awesome time with my parents.
Now it's back to reality and I have today to recover and do laundry and then back to work. Le sigh. It's a good thing though, I need a serious detox after the amount of wine we drank and the ridiculous foods.

The safari sounds incredible. One of my life goals is to one day go on one.
I used to work with the giraffes a lot when I worked at the zoo and man, I'd give anything to see them in their natural habitat.
