Contact Lenses

If you wear them, where do you purchase them? I need to decide soon if I like the contacts I'm currently wearing and purchase a few sets. I've already priced them out on 1800contacts, but I was curious where the general population makes their purchases, either from the eye dr. or from a website.

Re: Contact Lenses

  • I usually order mine from lens.com because they had the best price and 4% back through Ebates.

  • Last time I just got them through the provider because there was a really good rebate going on that was given upfront.  So between what insurance paid and what the rebate was, it ended up being cheaper than 800contacts, lens.com or 123contacts.  Generally though I order through 800contacts because I find them to be the cheapest for my Acuvue's.

Check your brand's website to see if they have any current promtions going on.

  • I get mine from Walgreens.com. When I priced them out, that was the cheapest I found. They usually have a 20% coupon going on.

  • I buy mine at BJs because they are cheap and I can take my prescription there and get them on the spot.

  • 1800contacts.

I like their prices and customer service.

If your prescription changes, they'll swap your contacts out.  And it looks like they replace torn contacts now too.

  • Definitely try and price things out through Ebates before you purchase! I bought my contacts through 1800Contacts and got like 5% cash back from Ebates, which actually turned into a good chunk of money and it made them cheaper than anyone else in the long run.
