Good Morning!

Happy Thursday!

I had myself convinced it was Friday for a little while this morning.  Then I realized it was only Thursday, and I was a little sad.

Last night was pretty productive.  I made a yummy dinner and then we got the first coat of paint on the walls in the nursery.

Derek seems to have come up with a good plan for how to not only get all the work done on the house what we need to do before the baby comes, but also how to pay for it.  Yay!

Lastly, slight vibes request, Derek and his coworker are going to meet with someone today about new jobs.  I guess it's an interview?  So, any positive thoughts we can throw his way would be much appreciated!

How is everyone today?

Re: Good Morning!

  • Lots of vibes to Derek and his friend!

Yesterday I was MIA. I had meetings in the morning and then got the call that one of the boys wasn't himself.  I had to hold him nonstop from the time I walked in the door at 11:30 until we left for the doctors at 2:30.  Another ear infection for Christian now.  I hate seeing them like that. Once he had some meds he was back to himself within an hour.

Today I need to focus at work (which I'm already finding hard to do today) since I was only here a 1/2 day yesterday. Looking forward to the evening as DH is just coming off his 3 nights of work, and I can't wait to actually see him.

Hope everyone has a great day.

  • Good luck Derek!

    Kats-Hope the boys feel better!

I only worked a half day yesterday because the boys were still sick and DH had to sleep before going to work. It was great to go home and lounge around and I think I am even feeling better today myself. Both boys are back at daycare/school. Hopefully they will get to stay all day and no more sicnkess. I need to focus on work today and get some stuff done so I am not stuck in here all weekend.

I have to cook dinner tonight since i haven't in 2 nighs due to me and the kids being sick. We also have a soccer meeting I am hoping to make it to if the boys are up to it. I did day 1 of the 30 day shred last night and my legs and arms are killing me but I am going to make myself do day 2 tonight.

  • Good morning.  I am exhausted this morning.  Now I've got a hot chocolate so I hope that helps.

Last night we had our last prenatal class and then came home to some cat pee.  He had been good for 5 days in a row so at least that's something.

I'm hoping to get to the gym after work today.  I wanted to run on the treadnill at home but I'm feeling too tired for that and FIL is going to be there helping Mark mount a shelt on the wall under the tv anyways.

raynes - good luck to Derek!

Kat - i hope you have 2 healthy boys soon

  • Vibes for Derek and his coworker.

My night was quiet. By the time I got home last night, I was exhausted. Yesterday was a busy day at work. So when I got home I didn't really feel like doing much of anything.

Tonight will be Kyle's last night at home before he goes oot for the weekend so I expect that we'll spend the night hanging out at home. Nothing else too exciting here. I'm just hoping for a quiet day at work so that I can work on a major project that needs to be completed soon, without the interruptions that I've had so far this week.

  • Good luck Derek! I'm sitting at the hospital right now, running through my first round of tests here. It's actually the maternal health clinic of the hospital which is conveniently located a floor below Phil's office. I'll be meeting my OB for the first time today, which is exciting. (Sorry about the lack of paragraphs; I'm on my blackberry). In other news, my math class has turned into one gigantic clusterfuck of epic proportions. There are massive bullying issues, I have one quarter of the class working at least 2 grades below level AND I got a new student yesterday from Iraq who has never been to school. He's illiterate in his first language and knows zero English. So, everyone has told me he knows nothing. I grabbed a kid from my esl class who speaks Arabic though, and discovered that this child knows his numbers from 1-100 and can do addition and subtraction with them, both single and double digit. To be able to do that mentally, without ever having had a visual reinforcement is amazing. So, the kid isn't lacking in the intellect department by any means. So, I'm kinda pissed at all the admin and teachers who assumed he couldn't do anything because he can. It's typical discrimination against ESL/ELD students. I'm more than a little pissed.
  • good morning! vibes to Derek!

last night was great - went to dinner at Red Robin w/ my BFF and her two boys. although it makes me question wanting more than one child. the 6 month old screamed during the entire car ride, while the 2.5 year old then yelled at her that the little one didn't have his ninny. so it was about 20 minutes of screaming baby/"NINNY MAMA!!!!" until we got to the restaurant. I'm sure my patience will change once I'm a parent, but holy cow, I don't know how she does it.

we have a little photo shoot planned for this weekend for announcing the pregnancy, so I have to find a frame tonight to make a chalkboard, as well as a cute gender neutral V-day onesie... which are a lot harder to find than I thought they'd be.

Kats eek poor sick kids. I hope they get better.

Kaesha good luck on your testing. I hope you can help the kid from Iraq. That must be scary for him. I?m glad you found someone who can ask him questions.

DH had a second interview yesterday which went extremely well. They told him they would send him an offer in the next day or so. I am so excited for him. I came home to dinner and some chill time on the couch. It was a great evening.

  • Good morning!

I still have a lingering bit of a cold or whatever this is.  It's raining this morning but still warm for February.

I'm just feeling kind of blah about life in general right now.  Nothing bad is happening (thank goodness) but nothing truly awesome is happening either.  I've got a bunch of stuff that feels half done, if that makes sense, and no real motivation to work on it.

  • I have to take an assessment today to make sure I've absorbed all my training and am ready to hit the floor for my first shift on Sunday. I think I'll do fine, you have to make 80% to pass, and if you don't we still have two days to retake it.

We're (hopefully!) going to buy another car in the next couple days. Just a cheapo, something for BF to use because our schedules are kind of conflicting.

Otherwise, nothing going on over here.

  • Vibes for Derek, let us know how it goes!

Good morning! Last night ending up being way more eventful then I had hoped. My boss ask myself and a coworker to go to a political event and set up his campaign table and hand out his campaign materials. I didn't get home until almost 9:00 and couldn't find anything for dinner so I had some ice cream and went to bed.

A big snow storm is supposed to come in this evening and last until Saturday morning, with snow totals of a foot or more. I hope to get to the grocery store this afternoon so I don't have to mess with trying to do it in the snow. Have a great day ladies!

  • Good morning ladies.  Just a quick post this morning because I need to run out to a meeting momentarily.  Yesterday was pretty good.  B and I went to see the David Mamet play Race last night at a local theater, and it was excellent.  Today is going to be a bit of a scramble because I have a last minute client meeting taking up the rest of my morning, a lunch meeting, and a bunch of stuff that needs to get done this afternoon.

Good luck Derek at the interview!  And congrats to Eric on the second round and offer.

Snoopy, any word on your start date?

  • raynes - sending good luck vibes for Derek.

Good morning ladies. Looks like it will be another busy day at work. My boss is still out sick so I hope to be productive.

Tonight DH is on dinner duty. I'm fairly certain we're going to have grilled burgers with french fries and grilled asparagus. DH has a softball game so I'll be watching OTH after LO goes to sleep. It will be low key.

    Have a good day ladies.

Thanks! It's hard not to get my hopes up, this prettiest chart I've ever had!

Now I just have to decide when to test - tomorrow at 12dpo which is my average LP or wait until Sunday at 14dpo which has been my longest LP. What do you guys think?

I'm a POAS pusher so I would say test tomorrow and if no AF then test again on Sunday. If a BFN will crush you, then just wait until Sunday. Good luck Bailey!

ditto this. I tested early during my BFP cycle and got a BFN at first. I waited a week (fully expecting AF to show) and tested again and got a BFP. I wasn't necessarily crushed by the BFN since I'd learn to expect it, but it was even MORE surprising to get the BFP after that.

I am a POAS pusher also! I say go for it and then if you get a BFN test again on sunday if AF doesn't show up! Fingers crossed for you!

  • Bailey: Test tomorrow!

Today we got a bill from our RE for storing our embryos, Sean and I have a month to decide what to do with them. We have 2 left, but since I'm no longer able to carry babies it's not likely that we'll be keeping them stored. We have to decide if we'll just let them defrost, donate them for medical research, or donate them for embryo adoption. The last one we're probably not going to do, it's really hard to explain why since obviously we're into adoption, but I'm just weird about embryo adoption.

    Anyway that's our big thing.

  • Evening!

    Bailey--FX!  Raynes--Hope Derek's meeting went well!

We went out to dinner tonight which was nice.  Now I am just hanging out while Ed plays video games.

My kids have been great this week (so I am sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop, ha!)  And tomorrow I have a couple quizzes to give, but other than that I have a guest speaker in a couple classes and a team meeting during reading, so I don't really have to teach tomorrow and it should be a fun day and then WEEKEND!
