School
So I submitted my graduate school application yesterday for the Masters of Arts in History program. I did my Masters of Science in Sociology in November. I should hear from them in July.
Now a gripe:
We have to do a group paper in my Research methods class. My group has decided to do homosexuals and divorce rates. I've done a lot of research so far and I have found NOTHING that supports this. No one has written on it. My group will not budge. It's annoying,

What is the hypothesis?
So far from what I've been told is they have "Homosexual marriages are less likely to end in divorce than heterosexual marriages".
There is NO data to support this since very few states allow (or recognize) homosexual marriage/domestic partnership.
I emailed my professors to see if I could go this alone. Drug abuse has a shitton of data.
It is VERY interesting and I'd LOVE to collect data on it but we don't have the time and Texas is one of those states that refuses to recognize homosexual marriage.
I know they said at the beginning of the course it would be hard to go alone, but this isn't my first research paper
I did a 40ish pager on the Beatles lol
Why did they choose that topic?
I loved research methods. I did my senior project had something to do with attractivness. I can't for the life of me remember what it was though.
I have no idea.
They also got mad at me because I live an hour away from school and have a life outside of school that is sometimes a wee bit more important like getting my dog to the boarder today so the bug guy can spray our house and she doesn't die.
It sounds like they are setting themselves up for failure.
I hope the professor lets you work alone!
