anyone try this? we are on a southwest flight next week and bags are free. curious if we can bring some local beers back and forth.

bottles or cans?
Bottles. He wraps socks or underwear around the neck of the bottle, then wraps the whole thing in a t-shirt. He then packs other things tightly around and on top of/below it, and makes sure it's in the middle of the suitcase as well.
He's also an international pint glass thief as well and uses the same method, just stuffs the socks or underwear into the glass.

this is how I've done it: wrap it plastic bags (such as grocery store bags), then wrap in bubble wrap, then wrap in some heavy clothing.
fyi: whole foods on P street often has 312 and other goose island beers pretty regularly
good to know! i am sure there are some "versions"of 312 we can't get here though. but that is good beer intel.
