Dh and I discussed doing a spending freeze in February. We really need to bulk up our savings so we can be more flexible with the price of our house that we are trying to sell. So here it is February 2nd and he texts me asking if I want to go to lunch. We haven't been out to lunch together in months which he mentions after I, kindly, remind him of the freeze. Ugh. Drives me nuts that he is ok with spending and I want to save save save.
Re: February spending freeze
I hear you. Anytime I suggest a spending freeze to DH , he's on board for about a day. So annoying.
I can remind him until I'm blue in the face: credit card debt, living paycheck to paycheck, wanting to save, wanting to buy a house, having a baby soon. Doesn't matter. He's like a little kid, wanting every shiny new toy he sees.
