I just saw it the other day. Whoa. I didn't know it was such an F'ed up movie. I guess I should have read a little about it first! Anyone else?

Re: Black Swan
LOL, yeah psychological thrillers can turn crazy fast.

That's a good term for this movie. Is that how it was classified? Because, geesh...I thought it was supposed to be a regular drama!
I think that is the term. But definitely not a regular drama.
I really liked it though.

Me too. Then film portrayed ballet dancers as unhinged OCD'rs which showed just how little the filmakers know about the dance world.
Not all dancers, just those dancers.

I really liked it. I thought it was beautiful and edgy at the same time. I liked the symbolism of the movie itself, which was very White Swan/Black Swan in that it had its very elegant parts (the ballet, the costuming, etc) but then also had the vulgar/scary moments (masturbation, lesbian sex scene, transformation scenes). I thought it was really cool. The only part I didn't like was when her knees went backwards at the very end in her bedroom. I felt like that was kind of formulaic, since every horror movie does the jerky limb movements thing.
But overall, I thought it was really good.
