What's on your Super Bowl Menu?
It's only going to be the 3 of us, but, I would like to make some different finger foods. I know we will have the usual Lil' Smokies, cheese, crackers and sausage. Maybe bacon wrapped jalapenos, but I need more ideas!
So what are you having/making?
Re: What's on your Super Bowl Menu?
Hopefully a Patriots win
We're going to some friends house, and I'm bringing a queso/cheesy type dip.

What is feta dip? My H loves feta cheese so that sounds like something he would really like.
We are doing BBQ, and Im preparing thin slice beef or pork on skewer its really yummy. Here's the recipe of the marinate if you're interested:
2 kilo pork slices (liempo)
1 bottle 7-UP
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup vinegar
2 Tablespoons minced garlic
2 Tablespoons hot sauce
2 Tablespoons worcestershire sauce
3 Tablespoons salt
Black Pepper
It sounds really good, but what type of beef and how thin do you slice it? And then just put it on skewers and grill?

This is the recipe I use, H and I both love feta cheese. I recommend making it beforehand and letting it sit in the fridge overnight, for some reason it tastes better that way.
Thanks I might try this! Do you grill the peppers whole, or cut before grilling?
We are attending, not hosting, a super bowl party so I'm not sure what I'm going to bring yet. Last year I made chocolate cake balls in the shape of footballs and they came out really cute.
When we have any football parties, I usually make things like --
7 layer dip
Buffalo pulled chicken in the crockpot with hawaiin rolls so people can make sliders
tomato mozzarello basil skewers
fruit salad or something like that - I really like watermelon feta and chopped basil salad
I grill them whole.
This is so up my alley! I always make several dips for parties and love feta and roasted red peppers. I'm definitely going to make it for Sunday.
Besides that, I really need to get thinking. Probably I'll make hummus with veggies and pita chips, and do either grilled pizzas or veggie burgers & turkey burgers, and maybe a Mediterranean tortellini salad. I have spanakopita and crab cakes in the freezer, so I'm sure I'll do those. I also made a cilantro lime ranch dip the other day that was really delicious, so I might remake that. We're just having some family over this year, so I don't need to over do it but I love party food.

We are having a few people over and are having:
Assorted kabobs, bacon wrapped scallops, buffalo chicken wing dip, jalapeno popper dip and who knows what else my hubby will decide to whip up.
I'd say cut the meat (you can either get pork loin or round eye beef) to 1/4 of an inch so its faster to grill. Yes put in skewer and grill away : )
it would look like this (this one is pork), I am hungry now! great! lol
