How long does the injection site pain and crying last? Just that day/night or am I in for a long weekend?
Re: 2 month shot ?
if memory serves me correctly, I think Paige was more affected by Connor, but nothing that lasted longer than about 24 hrs...
I used to bring Tylenol with me to the Dr office and the nurses would weigh the babies give me the correct dosage, and then I'd give it to them before they even got their shots.
I'd keep w/ tylenol for a few doses and they were usually fine.
It totally depends on the baby. My kiddo has never had a reaction and I've never even had to give her Tylenol after shots (my pedi does not recommend pre medicating bc he says the shots are more effective that way- but it seems like that is not the norm from what I've just read here).
But, my nephew had the same shots by the same doc and was up all night crying in pain, Not helped by Tylenol. That was just the two mont shots, he had no reaction to the next set at 4 months.
My Pedi has actually told me the same thing...
