i got a second job! woot. :)

i'm proud of myself! i haven't been on an interview in almost 6 years.. the lady told me that she didn't want to promise me anything but she really liked me and she wants to hire me but needs to talk to her boss. i left and ran down the street after me, saying her boss had a minute to talk if i did too! i thought that was awesome! anyway, i talked to her boss and he hired me!

anyway, the WHOLE time i was there i was telling myself, tell them you're going on vacation.. and then i effing forgot. now i feel like a jerk. i'll see them again next week, should that be fine?

i just feel like i withheld important information and i'm feeling guilty. they'll be fine right?

    Not a big deal - the vacation thing - but if the restaurant is close by your house, you might just stop in and say, 'In my excitement yesterday when I interviewed and found out I had the job, I forgot to mention that I'll be going on vacation XXX to XXX, and I just wanted to make sure you were aware right from the beginning.  I'm really looking forward to working here!'

    You could just call them and tell them that if you want to.  Otherwise you can tell them next week, but the longer you wait to tell them, the more it might look like you intentionally didn't mention it (if you're concerned about what they might think - I'm just telling you that from my former-recruiter point of view).

    You're only working PT, right?  It shouldn't be much of a deal either way, as long as you don't forget to tell them until like, 3 days before leaving.

    yay! this is also what I would do. I can't imagine it will be a problem.

    i was looking for you at zumba! but i figured you're so busy with the new job, so i understood. there were a TON of people today! and i wore a zip up with this lining in it so i was DRIPPING sweat. good workout!
