I need someone to explain this to me: two people in front of me at Starbucks ordered decaf lattes this morning, one with an extra shot. Of nothing? I don't understand. At that point, isn't it just extra calories? I am sure I'm missing something here, but I am confuzzled.
My husband can be a maroon sometimes. He bought two (just two!) boxes of Girl Scout cookies yesterday, one that only he likes, Caramel Delights (BLEEEEEEEEEEECH), and the Peanut Butter Patties (the cookie formerly known as Tagalongs*), which we both like. So after dinner, I cleaned up the kitchen, then went in the living room. He was eating the peanut butter ones! I seriously gave him the eye rollingest "Double-yew tee eff" look ever. At least he had the good sense to look sheepish, heh.
*Apparently, he called them Tagalongs when he ordered them because he forgot what they were called now, and the poor 10 year old behind the counter was totally confused. However, the new name did give me the opportunity to dance around the kitchen singing, "it's peanut butter patty time," so it does have that going for it. (And yes. I totally did that. What can I say, I'm a fat dork who likes cookies, heh.)
Re: Randoms
Since the volume in a latte is mostly milk they may have wanted/needed the extra shot to enhance the coffee flavor.
LadyE - We got a box of the coconut ones and it said Samoas on the box. They weren't as good as I remembered.
My mom worked for the Girl Scouts for years, and they were always Samoas and Tagalongs. We also used to get to buy the leftovers for $1 when the public sale was over, so our freezer was stocked. And you are nuts for not liking Thin Mints! Heh. I love them, and it's super helpful that they come in the pre-sorted two serving packs, heh.
For the last several years, I buy two packages of thin mints and a package of peanut butter ones for DH. I hide one thin mint because DH scarfs down the two other packages before I know it... then I forget about the hidden thin mints and he finds them under the couch. Oops!
LOL, that's an interesting hiding spot!
I haven't seen anyone selling them around my office
My husband got them at South Station, Rock.
And just to be an enabler, here's a link to find the booth sales nearest to you (including T stations).
I really probably didn't need to know that, but thanks!
LOL!
