Re: quote of the week
Did you have your big ultrasound yet???
Why thank you, Kimberly!
U/S is tomorrow. TOMORROW!!!
I can't believe you're already half baked
Are you finding out?
I can't believe I'm half way there either...especially since I haven't felt pregnant this whole time....although apparently I look it. Yup, we're finding out if the baby cooperates. I am DYING to know. I am not a fan of surprises.
Definitely NOT Justin. I told him what that person said and his response: "What?! No one should ever say that to a woman, even if they're joking. You look beautiful, don't listen to them." Justin jokes about a lot of things, but he's smart enough to never joke about this. It actually was another mother who said that to me...which makes it even harder to believe someone who went through pregnancy would say that to someone else.
We shall see if you're right tomorrow!
Yikes! I might be so big that I may not fit in the picture. It's a good reminder that I should be taking some. DH doesn't take the camera nearly enough and I don't even know if I have any.
Fortunately, I'm one of FIVE pregnant ladies at my school this year (two have already delivered), so everyone is used to seeing big baby bellies around the halls. Surprisingly, the only comment I've gotten about size is when I tell people I'm due in 3 months (or less) and they are shocked I'm not bigger or that I'm carrying how I am.
We're team green all the way and so is my coworker who is due right before me. So it has been VERY funny to hear the theories of what we're both having. Some of the secretaries have me basically model for them (front, ok now from the side) and they tell me what their prediction is. It will be interesting to see if they are right since they are ALL saying its a boy.
People really don't think before they talk about pregnant people. I get that people are excited for you or relating their experience, but for what other medical condition do people make random ridiculous, unprovoked comments about all the time? And it's not like we have the option to keep it on the down low since the big old belly is right out there begging for comments!
Last time I got lots of comments about big I was, this time I am getting comments about being small. All said with a hint of snark, so people are never happy! And don't get me started about the unsolicited comments about "life with 2 kids...." blah blah blah!
Jackie- I agree that I didn't "feel" pregnant until much later this time. I think I just didn't have the time or energy to focus all of my attention each and every change and symptom like I did with #1.
That's ridiculous and I'm sure you look great! People need to not open their big mouths.
That is so rude!
For what it's worth, I follow your blog and saw your post with your fleece maternity top. You look great in that post!
Have fun at the u/s. I hope the baby cooperates! I know exactly what you mean about not being a surprise person!
