Bucutini and Tara or Hyatt in Aruba

Anyone know anything about either of these resorts? If you had to choose which one would you pick?

Re: Bucutini and Tara or Hyatt in Aruba

  • Ive stayed at both! Buccuti is in the low rise section and adults only. The Tara Suites are their newest section and very nice, their beach is GORGEOUS! The Hyatt is in the highrise section and is very cool. Nice tropical upscale feeling. You really cant go wrong with either one, I have pictures of both on facebook but I dont think it will let me share them unless we are friends :-(

  • Buccuti....definitely

  • We stayed at the Hyatt a few years ago and found it a little stuffy and uptight for our liking.  Don't get me wrong, it was very beautiful, just a little hard for us to relax and let go.  Also, their balconies were extremely small, more like just sliding glass doors with a thick ledge.

  • We stayed at the Buccuti Tara Suites for our HM, it was AMAZING!!!  The beach is so quiet, we never had a problem finding chairs and felt like we had the beach to ourselves.  We went to the high rise to shop/have dinner, but it was more crowded and touristy.  I'm sure the Hyatt is beautiful, but my vote would be Buccuti, you would not be disappointed!

  • they are both so nice!  If you prefer water sports / parasailing / etc, a busier/active beach, and walking distance to lots of casinos and nightlife then stay at the Hyatt.  My con for the Hyatt is that their balconies are walk out, so you can't sit out there and enjoy the ocean view with a cocktail.  it is a really beautiful property.

The Bucuti is on a quiet stretch (Eagle Beach) and would be more seculded/romantic in my opinion.

I really wanted to stay in the Tara Suites on our honeymoon but ended up on Palm Beach (where the Hyatt is) because my husband has self-diagnosed "Beach ADD."  No complaints - we've been back to Aruba since then and prefer Palm Beach area.

    Have an awesome time.

  • Bucuti for the beach, hands down. Stayed there for our HM, posts here: http://www.emilyinchile.com/tag/aruba/.

We went into the Hyatt for drinks one night, and the grounds are gorgeous (don't know about the rooms obviously), but we wanted to be able to walk out of our room and have relaxed beach time. For that, you need to be in the low-rise area. The high-rise area is pretty packed, and the beach isn't as nice anyway.

  • Hyatt is in the high rise and is more American.  The low rise side is more Dutch.  Depends what you want.  The Hyatt is BEAUTIFUL.
