Any updates? Milestones? Appointments?
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc?
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose?
Who will be in the delivery room with you?
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort?
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it?
Re: Babes with Bumps!
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Same as last time, DH and my mom. Some people are against having moms in the delivery room, but I couldn't have done it without mine. She kept me focused and sane. While DH was helpful, I think he had a hard time knowing what was going on and seeing me in pain and was all about doing anything to help, whereas my mom was like, "you've GOT this." She deserves a huge part of the credit for my successful med-free birthing experience. What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? Make dinner. LOL! That might happen on another planet. Seriously though, I wish he would rub my back/hips from time to time.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? Oh yes. Natalie's big girl room! See post I'm about to make.I hope everyone's feeling great!!
Any updates? Milestones? Appointments? Last bi-weekly appointment is next week, then it's weekly. AHHHH.
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? We got our first shower gift from my cousin in IL, and it was a Moby. I am super excited about it, and DH even wants to use it.
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose? We are a little stuck here. We got recommendations from friends-a lot suggested one doc, so we are leaning that directly. BUT-SIL is the receptionist/office manager for a different doctor. He is in his own practice and he's older. I know SIL and MIL will be disappointed if we don't go there, but I want someone who will likely be around for awhile, I want more flexible hours because of several doctors, and honestly, I don't want SIL to have access to our kids' medical records, etc.
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Just DH. I wish my girl friend who is a NICU nurse and had 2 med free births could fly in from IL though.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? Rub my feet. They are starting to swell and shoes/standing are so uncomfortable!
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? Yes, but getting MIL settled has taken priority, so I'm not sure it will all get done. DH startd building a deck in August and it is still unfinished. He started rewiring the house over a year ago and there are only a few things left to be done... I'm hanging new window treatments in the living room, so that's a start! Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? Yes! I'm trying to decide if I want to buy our own or borrow from a friend (Moby). I think the K'tan would be easier for DH, but really can't justify the cost. Moby's are on sale with Target right now...
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose? All of my friends split between two practices. Knowing the various philosophies of my friends pretty well I chose from there. I also took into consideration that MIL might take LO sometimes, and she knows which practice SIL goes to. I was lazy and didn't even meet the doctors. If it's awful I will switch, but I will be surprised since everyone loves them.
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Current plan is DH only. We have told family we reserve the right to change the 'rules' depending on how things go. DH may need support, I may need additional support etc. Ideally my mom would be available, but since she'll be flying from NM that's highly doubtful - so we may call SIL. DH may want his mom around, but she really isn't invited in. Love her, but our boundaries are totally different and I would DEFINITELY say something that offends her - not on purpose but b/c I'm blunt.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? Clean the house! I HATE cleaning anyway, and DH is getting to the point where I can tell he's antsy about the state of our home. This is my agenda this weekend.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? DH does; me? Not so much. And it is non-baby related if it needs to happen to get stuff out of the nursery?? lol you have all heard my story there.
DH is currently in his stage of emotional denial where he'll think about anything else besides the impending change. He does this with everything (my moving down here, our marriage etc.) so I know what's going on, but I am REALLY tired of hearing him talking about backpacking stuff. Yesterday it was all about dehydrating food, and he's talking about borrowing his parent's food dehydrater like we're going hiking this summer.... Don't get me wrong, we'll go camping or something. But I really don't see carrying a 4-6 month old on a backpacking trip
Any updates? Milestones? Appointments?
Almost into the 2nd trimester! This pregnancy is flying by! I've been seeing my chiro. quite a bit and I feel amazing. Those adjustments ROCK!
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? We have a Moby and an Ergo right now. I'm in the marker for a woven wrap and a mei tai. I want to buy them used so I'm hoping I find something I like within the next 6 months.
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose?
We went with a pedi. that was alt. vac. shcedule friendly, breastfeeding friendly, and takes a more holistic approach. We got reccomendations from our Bradley Method instructor.
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Jake, my mom, our doula, and my two midwives will all be attending our birth.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? I'm not having any discomfort yet. But, I still would like a massage.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? Finishing our basement, redecorating our bedroom, and painting our kitchen.

"A baby nursing at a mother's breast is an undeniable affirmation of our rootedness in nature." - David Suzuki
Thanks Cassidy. I needed to hear that.
Any updates? Milestones? Appointments? It's been 2 weeks and 2 days since I went into PTL and was told to expect to deliver within 72 hours... I'm calling that a milestone! 36 weeks is on Monday and that's pretty average for twins so we're all on high alert around here, though judging by my extreme LACK of contractions, I'll probably see my scheduled c/s date.
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? We have a Moby and a Boba and I'm sure we'll use them both at some point.
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose? I asked for recommendations from friends in the area. I knew which office I wanted to use (my brother and I actually went there) because I liked their policies and such, so it was just a matter of choosing a doctor.
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Just DH. Well and about 10 nurses, a NICU doc, my OB, etc. haha. We planned on having birth photos taken this go-around but it's hospital policy that you can only have one other person in the OR.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? NOT SNORE! Grrrr.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it?Luckily, he was amazing while I was in the hospital and got everything done! We still haven't packed our bags yet though... mine is close. Our crazy, wonderful life
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? I registered for a Moby and I can't wait to try it out!
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose? We haven't picked one yet. I just got a list of recommendations from my doctor this morning and I also emailed Tiff a while back to get her recommendation. So next on my to do list is to start the search.
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Our plan is just DH with me but I told him that if I say I want my mom while in the delivery room that he should get her. We haven't had this conversation with my MIL so I am hoping she doesn't think she will be in the room but I definitely don't feel comfortable with that.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? I am thankful to not have many discomforts yet and DH has been pretty great. It would be nice if he rubbed my lower back on the days I was on my feet too much at work.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? Our biggest to do list is definitely baby related but there are a few things we want to do. One is a savings plan we have. It will continue past the baby's arrival but we have a goal to reach by May. The other is to finish organizing our basement. We are 3/4 of the way done but we need to buy more shelving units before we can finish.
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? Going to try, we shall see what baby likes.
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose? I have no idea. I don't really have any mom friends in the area. I have work mom friends, but they're not in the area. Ugh. I guess I will get recommendations from my local board and go from there.
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Me, DH, doctor, nurses. I'm still debating on whether I want my mom there...she has a tendency to really stress out, but I want someone there who's been through it before.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? Not a lot of discomfort yet, but I wish he'd clean the house more.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? We'd really like to buy a house. Failing that, we need to clean out the spare bedroom so we have a place to put the baby.
Are you hoping to "wear" baby with some kind of wrap/Moby/etc? I didn't purchase a Moby until after I had Lincoln and I LOVE it. I can't wait to use it with this baby. It was so comfy for both and easy to use.
If you are a FTM, how are you choosing a pediatrician? Are you going to set up an interview or office visit with candidates? STM+, how did you choose? We used the recommendations of family and friends. We love our pedi!
Who will be in the delivery room with you? Just DH, like all of our other deliveries. I work where I deliver so I usually get to pick my nurse if possible and always have an extra supportive co worker or 2 in there with us as well.
What's the one thing DH could do for you every day to help ease your pregnancy discomfort? I honestly feel great. The only complaint that I usually have towards this stage of the pregnancy is the ridiculous amount of vaginal pressure I feel. So, DH has been awesome with helping out around the house with the kids and carrying 'heavy' items such as the laundry baskets full of dirty/folded clean clothes. He's always been great with just helping out even if I don't ask him to.
Do you and DH have a non-baby related to-do list that you want to complete before baby gets here? What's on it? We do. We want to stain our stairs, paint our whole first floor, get our roof fixed, purchase some new and needed appliances. I will be very interested to see what actually gets done before the baby arrives!
