Where can I buy bulk cardboard tubes?
I'm helping to plan a preschool carnival and one of the crafts is to make binoculars out of cardboard tubes (toilet paper roll size). Does anyone know where I could buy these in bulk? I've been searching google but only coming up with mailing tubes which are a bit thicker than what I'm looking for.

Do they have a freecycle in your area? I would post a "want" there. My mom used to save up toilet paper tubes, yogurt cups, milk caps, you name it, because eventually one of the teachers at school would send out a request for something. You might find out someone in your area does the same.
(This makes her sound like a hoarder, doesn't it? LOL It never filled more than a small cupboard, I promise).
LOL It does sound weird....... until you need yogurt cups to put paint in. Mom opens the craft cupboard and its a sea of crafting gold. (My Mom did this too!)
