Macy has been potty training at home great, no issues there but any tips on handle being out in public? I shiver at the thought of placing her on a public toilet so she has yet to use the potty out in public. I remember as a kid my mom covering the seat with toilet paper but it never really stayed on. Is this what you do? How do you protect your kids bum from the nasty public toilets?
Thanks

Baby Macy is here!

How did you PT Macy? How long did it take? We just started with Juliana and it seems that she doesn't feel when she has to go potty. She only tells us as she is doing it or after. She always says "go potty" but she doesn't really do it . It's becoming frustrating!
I used to hold her over the toliet, so she would only touch my arms and never the seat. It was a PIA, but I did not want to chance her falling in or touching the feces under the seat! My DD is 14 and to this day she hovers, wipes the seat and flushes with her foot!
This, only I hold her up under her armpits. When potty training, there's no time for housecleaning. I'd rather wipe my kid down and wash her hands than have to deal with an accident in public.
Ditto. Kind of glad he's finally decided to stand now.

Yup. Although your child peeing on the carpet at Hallmark is a superfun experience that everyone should enjoy at least once. Diapers were so much easier.
My silly Lily is almost 4.
I put Paige directly on the seat after wiping it down and then I turn around and walk as far away from her as i can without leaving the stall. I dont make a big deal about cleaning the seat because she has OCD tendencies and it would only make things worse and by turning away she gets the privacy she needs and goes right away.
FWIW I had to bribe her with chocolate to get her to use a public bathroom the first time and we have had no issues since. And no I didnt give her the candy in the bathroom lol
