Levi has his weight check doctor's appointment at 3:00. His pedi wants to see how much he's gained from his 18 month check up. He's always on the slow side of gaining. When I took him in last month before we flew to TX, he only gained 6oz from 10/31.
From his 15 month to his 18 month check up, he gained 8 oz.
From his 6 month to his 18 month (1 year's time) he only gained 3lbs.
At his 18 month check up his stats were: 20lbs.6oz and 2'8" tall.
But the boy eats.,,,constantly!
For breakfast he eats an entire packet (adult sized) of oatmeal, plus about 4-6 oz of milk. He has always been a great eater, so I'm hoping he just has a very good metabolism because of how active he is.
Re: Dr. Appt.
my friend's son is the same way - he is also wicked tall though...he never gains enough for his height/weight ratio to be in the curve where the doctors want it, but he's totally healthy and fine.
hope the appt goes well!
At the 18 month check up, the pedi said he was fine with L's weight gain since he is consistant. However, he wanted to bring him back in 3 months to see if it's changed, if not, he wants to make sure there is no underlying cause/disorders.
As long as he grows and eats and is happy that's all that matters to me.
